Ikenga Ogbo

Ikenga Ogbo serves as the Director of the Health and Human Services Department for Evanston, Illinois, a role he has held since 2019. Shortly after taking on this role, he was thrown into the world of COVID-19, implementing measures to keep his community safe. Having successfully mitigated the effects of this virus, he is now working to help his communities thrive in a post-pandemic world, addressing the mental health effects the pandemic took on them. Ikenga has especially invested in re-growing the youth community involvement and helping them heal from the effects of social isolation, as he hopes to support through his program titled “My City, Your City, Our City.” Discover more at his website!
