Most cherry species are native to the Northern Hemisphere.

Their flowering starts in April and ends by early May. Full sun exposure is necessary for this tree to bloom beautiful flowers and be strong. Cherry tree root systems grow closer to the surface and have a large number of sucker shoots that grow vertically from them. Because of their shallow root systems, cherry trees have the potential to cause significant damage to surface landscaping.
