Insurance With Purpose Agency was founded in April 2021 as an independent retailer focused on assisting businessowners with property and casualty risk management solutions!

Derek Pierce, founder of the agency, started his career in 2003 working in every agency role possible (Receptionist, Billing, Certificates, CSR/Acct. Manager, Marketing, Production, Infrastructure Tech) before transitioning into the role of an Excess & Surplus Lines Wholesale Broker from 2015-2021.

During those 5 years, Derek spent his time partnering with retail insurance agents to help navigate the excess and surplus lines market for solutions on hard to place commercial P&C exposures. It was this experience that left him with a very deep understanding of the way business flows throughout the industry.

Now empowered with a very clear sense of what underwriters/carriers are looking for within submissions Derek has formed the following position…

“The time of sale is actually NOT between the insured & agent like most people think; instead, the REAL time of sale is between the agent & carrier!” Insurance With Purpose Agency is laser focused on developing systematic approaches that addresses the nuances found within the underwriting process at the early stages of engaging with prospective clients. We believe that focusing on addressing these nuances upfront will provide our underwriters/carriers the level of detail needed to make more effective decisions as it relates to their appetite/guidelines; ultimately translating into better results for our clients.

We have partnered with Applied System’s EPIC platform, the leading commercial lines agency management system and coupled with the powers of Applied System’s Indio platform, the leading data collection system, we plan to deliver the best experience possible for our clients.
