The project sets the context for the understanding and appreciates the finer nuances of craft practices of the Chakhesang community in Nagaland. The project includes documentation of culture, lifestyle, and craft practices and constructs a minimal or zero waste garment designed according to the Back Strap Loom Weaving.
The project begins with an understanding of the basic construction of the jacket, including details, terminology, and techniques through the process of reverse engineering. The project aims to design and construct a jacket for the client by analyzing its personality and research on the upcoming trends.

The project aims at sensitising to the current fashion cycle with a holistic understanding of the environment issues and social impacts created by the industry which is driven by fast pace and wasteful production and consumption model.

The project aims for looking at various artist/ theme/ or work of any artist or painted and taking it as a design inspiration. Metamorphosis in art and design is the transformation of one item into a similar shape that represents something else. In this project, the ideas were transferred into muslin fits and final garment.

This is my internship report where in detail I has explained about YAVI, the label where I intern, their departments and about what I did there, my jobs and responsibilities, and the task I performed etc. This 16-week industry internship is compulsory for building the bridge between the learnings, apply them in the industry and taking the learning for future.
