While adoption of technology has accelerated in health and social care, the two are yet to be properly joined up. This can negatively impact staff, who experience low satisfaction, and individuals needing care, whose outcomes are affected. In this session, Alan and will share how integrated care can become a reality, and the role that AI has to play in this process to address friction in the system, improve staff experiences and join up health and care to improve outcomes for individuals. We will be joined by Mike Parish, Director, LGBTQ+ Dementia Advisory Group CIC on 'Inclusive Dementia Care for the LGBTQ+ Community', including the anxieties LGBTQ+ communities feel around trust and respect in care and support services, how the awareness and training deficit in LGBTQ+ clients and care issues could be improved and how to ensure services meet expectations by LGBTQ+ clients.
