External Perspectives on Synthetic Biology
In collaboration with Education Commitee we created this activity for our audience through our talks. With the objective to make students retain the knowledge we imparted and make use of it was achieved. We asked them to place 2 words that represent what synthetic biology means is for them.
Through this activity, we obtained first hand, the public´s perception of Synthetic Biology. Our audience had no previous knowledge Synbio but basic knowledge of biology. This kind of dynamics let us know that there is great acceptance of this branch of science. Most of them described it as innovative and technological.
DESIGNING SYNTHETIC BIOLOGY WITH ART
Teaching science through art The aim of this activity was to help our audience create their own illustrations about their interpretation of what Synthetic Biology means for them. By linking some common words and easy-to-interpret images to new technical concepts, they were able to understand more complex ideas of our presentation. This facilitated their learning process and most importantly, creating their own interpretations.

REPRESENTING SYNTHETIC BIOLOGY WITH ART
What does Synthetic Biology mean to you? During the week of october 12, informative talks were given to students of the first levels of Yachay Tech University about the meaning of Synbio. Adding an artistic touch, the students were asked to express in a drawing what it means to them to design with synthetic biology.

Know the art of iGEM BIOTECH EC The iGEM BIOTECH EC team joined this initiative to capture the meaning of Synthetic Biology in a work of art. Translating our knowledge when it comes to assembly is one thing, but translating our knowledge and perspectives into a work of art with paper and pencil is another world.

WORKING TOGETHER FOR SYNTHETIC BIOLOGY
Team collaborations Despite the difficulties and the distance, nothing limits us. A clear example of this is the union between iGEMERS to collaborate not only in the "Behind the Scenes of iGEM" with IXORA in the arts commission, there were also collaborations in various areas such as Human and Dry Lab - Modelling with IKIAM and IXORA. Such feedback taught us that teamwork takes us far.
