A talk on DSP Processors (Analog Devices, Inc.), Mechanical Considerations in Robotics was held at Government Engineering College, Thrissur on 18th March 2011. 4. A talk on Embedded Systems was held at Jyothi Engineering College, Thrissur on 25th March, 2011. 5. One Talk Every Week program on, 3G technology by Prashant and Premanand, Head of Technical Department of Aircel, Kerala Branch on 19th March was held at IEEE branch of Model Engineering College, Thrikkakara. Nearly 130 plus students attended the program. was hosted by Amritha Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kollam, it was their first LINK event. The eminent guests for the event were S Gopakumar, SAC Advisor, Senthil Kumar, Secretary, IEEE Kerala Section, Jaison Abey Sabu, SAC, K Sankaran, Principal, Amrita School of Engineering, Kollam, Rajesh Kannan, Amrita IEEE SB Counselor, Akshay, SR and LINK Secretary, Ramesh N Nair, Technical Coordinator, LINK. The keynote address was done by S. Gopakumar on “IEEE for professional Growth”, subsequently followed by a talk on “Technologies in Computing/Electronics by Sumod. There was a talk on SB Operations/Lifecycle and Officer Roles by Jaison Abey Sabu, focussing on how to run a SB, resources for funding, etc. A Project Presentation and Evaluation SessionPROJX Finals was also held judged by Rajesh Kannan, Sabarinath and K.C. Raveendran. The winners were announced and prizes and certificates distributed. The Orientation for SAB / HUB Leaders / Branch Counsellors, Presided over by S. Gopakumar and Jaison Abey Sabu. Also a session on HUB Management Training by the LINK Team and SAB was conducted. Two tutorials were also organized.
