COUNTRIES WITH PROGRAMMES IN SUPPORT OF STRATEGIC OBJECTIVE 6 Bangladesh Kenya Sri Lanka Tanzania Uganda Zambia
At a time when health issues are a global priority, IDLO is promoting rule of law solutions to attain Sustainable Development Goal 3 on health and well-being and advancing the right to health by using a human rights-based approach for equitable and non-discriminatory access to services. In 2021, this work included legal preparedness for public health emergencies, building legal capacities to prevent and manage non-communicable diseases, strengthening legal frameworks for promoting healthy lifestyles, and promoting the role of the law in addressing the social determinants of health.
