Hello! I’m Özüm İdem. I have graduated from the department of Industrial Design at Tobb University of Economics and Technology. I am designer who is always eager to learn more and likes to gain new skills. Here you can find a selection of my works.

ONEDIO Social Content Platform I design the ad space on the site, translate the other cartoons into my language, and help translate the content into video.

Big Berry

(3.5 month) I played an active role in the Design Year Project. I've been home to Designers from Big Berry. I designed my own bike during the Design Year Project. I designed a package for a product that would be the result of a treaty with one of Big Berry's partners.

KIDCHEN Spring 2016 Smart Home Technology


KIDCHEN

It is designed to allow families with 3-6 year - old children to regularly follow the feeding.

Families can control the feeding of children in the virtual environment thanks to the product and receive feedback from their smart devices of children.


PROBLEM

Children are having a very difďŹ cult time eating. They run away from food and do not get enough food.

USER The user is the parent. Checks if the child is eating.

It records the nutritional values in the eaten meal.

Meal saves the time of the meal.

Works with lithium battery.


The meal is chosen from the application according to the meal. Depending on the dish is also selected plate type.

SOLUTION


SOLUTION The selected plate type from the application is transferred to the base. The dishes are placed according to the plate layout seen in the base.

The application records the nutritional values of the meal and how long the child eats. They provide weekly, daily monthly to the user.

AIRPET

The Airpet designed for people who travel intercity buses and have pet.

Pet travels in the baggage. The user worries about the air quality of the enviroment in which the pet is located.

This product controls the air quality of baggage and gives feedback to the user.

The pre-filter and Odor filter must be replaced after a certain time. It is aimed to facilitate the replacement of this filter.

For easy integration of the cages, armrests with a spring mechanism are considered.

Product feedback can be received even without the product. Our smart device can be connected to our device via bluetooth and can direct the product remotely.

Babies spend about 15-16 hours of their day in wakefulness and sleep. Families in this process are constantly they want to check and get information because they cannot be found next to them.

3D PROTHESIS HAND Summer 2017 Enabling the Future Project


3D PROTHESIS HAND Designed for children under 18. There are similar prothetic hand but they can not use the mouse.

I solved this problem for children using prothetic dentures.

I use teeth and springs in wrist area. This mechanism ensures that your joint turns.


Children without arms do not hold mouse with prosthesis baby. When they hold the mouse, they have to keep their arms constantly at a certain angle. It's impossible to do that all the time.

SOLUTION

Thanks to the mechanism in the wrist it can be turned into a hand. To hold the mouse we hold the hand in the direction of the mouse.

Barrier

The thumb of the rope to which the thumb is attached opens. This increases the tension on the thumb. The ďŹ rst thumb moves when the elbow is closed. With the thumb, the mouse is pressed.

FIRST BIKE Spring 2018 Final Project of the School


FIRST BIKE All the kids are impatient to ride a bike. But no kid likes the bike learning process.

This process is frightening and exhausting for them. First Bike aims to make this process less intimidating.

A gyroscope is placed on the front wheel of the bike. In this way, gyroscopic force is obtained. This force helps the child to balance.

PURPOSE

It is to prevent the movement of the person and to go directly to the learning process without stalling the person.

The engine wheel turns inside the front wheel. It's called gyroscopic motion. This gyroscope forms the balance. If the child is swinging or lying sideways, the wheel corrects itself and maintains its stability.

As the balance setting in Gyrowheel decreases, the lights on the wheel go out. This situation shows us whether the child is taking help from the child. After all the lights go out, the wheel sends a congratulatory message to the child.

SOLUTION

As the user learns to ride a bike, the balance adjustment decreases slowly.

Thus, the gyro wheel makes learning easier, as less helpful to the user.
