Additionally, there will be a mopping up registration exercise from 5th to 12th August 2016 to enable NHIS card registrants who were not able to register in the first two weeks of the exercise to register A separate exhibition exercise would be held for all NHIS card registrants who were re-registered on 5th, 6th, and 7th September, 2016. Prospective voters would be verified biometrically by placing any of their fingers on the verification device at the exhibition centre.

All requests made at the exhibition centres will be recorded on the EC’s certified exhibition forms and on any of the voters register. At the close of the exhibition period, all completed exhibition forms and the voters register will be sent to the District Offices of the EC to be processed. Types of requests • Minor changes/corrections These are changes or corrections for wrong spelling or omission of characters in voter details such as names, sex and age. These changes or corrections would be done at the exhibition centres.

Continuous Registration On the 19th and 26th of August, 2016 new applicants can apply for a voters ID card at the District Offices of the EC

What requests can be made during the exercise? Requests that could be made at the exhibition centres include: • Inclusion of omitted names. • Objection to names of unqualified voters on the register. • Removal of names of deceased voters from the register. • Replacement of poor qualified or damaged voter ID cards. • Correction of wrong spelling names. • Correction to wrong registration centre codes. • Amendments to registration details as a result clerical error.

These requests would be done at the EC’s District Offices. Will there be fresh registrations during the exhibition process? No! The national exhibition process is different from the limited registration process. Therefore, any citizen, of voting age and sound mind who could not register during the limited registration process, cannot register within the three-week national exhibition period.
