Zuna Advisers LLC is a consulting services firm in the areas of commercial real estate and infrastructure development. We provide the highest quality services to pension fund sponsors, government agencies, financial institutions and institutional investors. We provide unbiased advice to allow our clients to make timely and informed decisions regarding the strategy, development, acquisition, management and disposition of their projects and holdings. All of our key personnel have direct experience as investment principals. Our combined experience includes over $100 billion of development, portfolio management, acquisition and disposition of real property as principals within entities such as CalPERS, Lennar, Resmark and Arvida. This experience spans a wide range of commercial activities including office, industrial and residential development, hospitality and resorts. We also have large scale infrastructure development experience in areas including roads, power generation, ports and other areas.

Mr. Kuntz was a partner in Shearman & Sterling LLP, an international law firm with over 800 lawyers, for over 30 years. He has extensive experience in all areas of real estate investment and finance, with particular emphasis on cross-border real estate investment. His practice includes acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, financing, development, joint ventures and workouts and restructurings, and his clients include both developers and investors, and public and private companies. Mr. Kuntz joined Shearman & Sterling in 1968, became a partner in 1976, and served as leader of the Property Practice Group from 1988 to 1993 and again from 2004 to 2007; he also was Managing Partner of the firm from 1993 to 1996 and a member of the firm’s Policy Committee from 1990 to 1998. Mr. Kuntz retired from Shearman & Sterling at the end of 2009. A popular speaker who also frequently writes on real estate legal issues, Mr. Kuntz has been recognized in Euromoney’s Guide to the World’s Leading Real Estate Lawyers,Who’s Who and other listings of experts in this field. He is a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, and the Columbia Law School Board of Visitors; and is a presenter and teacher in Columbia University’s Master of Science in Real Estate Development program. He received his A.B. from Duke University and his LL.B. from the Columbia University School of Law, where he was editor of the Columbia Law Review

Mr. Kalra has extensive experience in large infrastructure, commercial and residential property development. He also serves as Managing Director of Duranta Holdings Ltd.The company has investments and operations in diversified businesses with a focus on socially inclusive growth sectors. Mr. Kalra built one of the largest platforms for institutional investments in the Indian infrastructure and real estate sector and has led investments resulting in the creation of a $5 Billion asset base. Mr. Kalra also has active interests in the technology, genetics, healthcare, telecommunication and finance domain. A socially aware and established entrepreneur, he is often quoted in the international media and has also featured in the “Young Turks” program on CNBC TV18. He speaks at various industry events across including New York, Europe, India, China and the Middle-East.With the motive of inspiring the next generation social entrepreneurs, Mr. Kalra has delivered guest lectures at the Wharton and Yale School of Management. Amongst many awards, Mr. Kalra has received the prestigious “Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business” in the year 2007.

Mr. McCook has extensive experience managing multibillion dollar portfolios. Mr. McCook is currently a Director of Resmark Equity Partners, a full service residential investment adviser with $1 billion under management. Mr. McCook retired in May 2006 from the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS), which is the nation’s largest public pension fund. For 5 years, he held the post of Senior Investment Officer in charge of global Real Estate Investments. Prior to joining CalPERS, he spent over 20 years in senior management positions in businesses in the real estate industry, most recently as Managing Director of Institutional Housing Partners (1996–2001) and President of Prudential Home Building Investors (1991-1996). He joined the Resmark board in December 2006. Mr. McCook earned his Masters of Business Administration Degree from the University of San Diego and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.

Mr. Lambert has 30 years of experience with an extensive background in buyouts, mergers & acquisitions, venture capital, investment banking and trepreneurial ventures. He has served clients on projects including residential and commercial real estate developments and acquisitions, hotels and resorts. He has also served as a director of a number of private companies and a publicly held company. Positions held include CEO of Simple Buyout Plans, a financial advisory boutique, Managing Director of Cambridge/Samsung Partners, a venture capital fund, President and CEO of Hollywood Partners,Vice President of Investment Banking with Van Kasper & Company and Senior Manager with Deloitte’s Mergers & Acquisitions Services Group. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science with Honors from the University of California at Berkeley.

Mr. Reese has over 30 years experience as a key senior level executive, partner and/or owner in real estate development and financing activities. As principal with companies such as Arvida, Lennar and Xerox Real Estate, he has acquired, developed, constructed, managed and repositioned portfolios valued at $1 billion, consisting of over 6.2 million square feet commercial/industrial projects and 12,000 residential home sites. He has successfully repositioned, redeveloped and disposed of portfolios in excess of $9.0 billion of commercial and residential assets during the 1980’s and early 1990’s. Prior positions include co-founder of Arvida Corporation’s Commercial and Industrial Division and head of Xerox Realty Corporation. He is an Honors Graduate of the University of Florida.

Mr. Rush has over 30 years of experience in development and land investment. He served for over 15 years as a senior executive for the leading advisory firms in the CalPERS residential development/investment program, and also served CalPERS for six years as Executive Vice President of Investment Management for Resmark Equity Partners. He has served as a Vice President/ Portfolio Manager for a real estate subsidiary of Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette,Vice President for Pacific Scene, Inc., and as Project Manager for County and City governments in California. He holds a BA degree in Geography/Urban Planning from the University of California, Riverside and has completed post-graduate coursework at the University of California, San Diego.
