IDEA PUBLIC SCHOOLS
In 2017, the Florida Legislature created Schools of Hope – a bold and innovative initiative aimed at ensuring that no student would be stuck in a chronically failing school. In 2018, IDEA announced that it would expand outside the state of Texas for the second time, working through the Schools of Hope program to launch new campuses in the greater Tampa region of Florida beginning in August 2021. With the generous support of the Vinik Family Foundation and the Schools of Hope program, IDEA Tampa Bay IDEA has committed to opening 10 campuses serving over 15,000 students across the three school districts that make up the greater Tampa area.
