In loving memory: Dima Abdel Samad Kaiss

Dima has always been distinguished and gifted with exceptional moral values, kindness, generosity, wisdom and fairness. A loving Daughter, Wife, Sister, Friend and most importantly, Mother. She left tragically and too soon, but marked whoever knew her in a special and magical way. She touched so many lives with kindness and compassion. Dima was elegant, refined, giving, sensitive, soft, yet proud with her head held high, strong and confident.

She graduated from IC and AUB, had great professional opportunities, aspired to be a Mom and was the best mother a child could ever ask for.

On behalf of my mother and our family, we would like to thank each and every one of you who kept us in their prayers and shared our unbearable pain and overwhelming sorrow. We were touched by the immense outpouring of love from so many people across the country and the globe who knew my mother. She truly was larger than life. Many thanks to our IC family and Class of ‘85 for their heartwarming and admirable initiative to honor Mom. Dima has always been and forever will be a proud IC graduate.

We look forward to continuing Dima’s journey, and working with the IC family, Dima’s beloved alma mater, to cherish her eternal memory, instill her values and aspirations for generations to come.

God bless you and your families.

Dima fought for 83 days and held onto life courageously despite her traumatic injuries caused by the Beirut port explosion on August 4 2020. Lebanon does not deserve her, she was larger than life and forever will be.
