NONNENHORN
“Enjoy life on the lake” … is the philosophy in the idyllic winegrowing village of Nonnenhorn. This charming health resort on the shores of Lake Constance is surrounded by fruit trees and vineyards as well as glorious panoramic views of the Alps on the opposite shore.
Visitors love it here in the quieter early part of the season, when the first warm sunrays create an almost Mediterranean flair. When the fruit trees come into blossom, active holiday-makers set off on the many cycling, hiking and Nordic walking routes. Autumn is also a time to enjoy, with vivid colours and aromatic fruits at harvest time. During the grape harvest, winegrowers allow visitors to watch them at work in the vineyard and the wine cellar. For gourmets, excellent restaurants offer culinary delicacies made from regional produce accompanied by local wines. Those who prefer a more rustic atmosphere should take time to visit one of the traditional “Rädle” taverns that grow and sell their own wines and where you can enjoy a hearty snack in good company. Nonnenhorn welcomes visitors with gardens in bloom, a village character, idyllic squares and friendly hosts. Further attractions include the pretty 13th century St. Jacob’s chapel, the 400-year-old wine press, and the beautifully cared-for village museum. Nonnenhorn is also an ideal starting point for trips to Austria, Liechtenstein and Switzerland with its pier and railway station. It is also on the Lake Constance Cycle Track. The lido on the lake with a heated pool promises fun and relaxation for young and old. Various concerts, guided cycle tours and walking paths through the orchards, explanations about the wine press by winegrowers, and popular festivities are organized almost all year round. Examples include ”classic fish” in April, “Komm und See” in July, the wine festival in August, “Gourmet & Dixie” in September, and “Essen und Tschässen” in October. Nonnenhorn – “Enjoy life on the lake”…..welcomes you!

A perfect holiday destination
Situated on the eastern shore of Lake Constance on a heritage listed peninsula, the village of Wasserburg is a real eye-catcher. It offers plenty to discover, whatever the season: In spring, when – earlier than elsewhere – forsythias and magnolias provide a dash of colour; in May, when the fruit trees blossom; in summer, when the lake promises refreshment; in autumn, when fiery red and bright yellow leaves transform nature; and even in winter, when the church steeple in the village is covered with glistening snow. Festivals are celebrated in style in Wasserburg. Visitors can enjoy traditional culinary delights from the region in a relaxed atmosphere, with fresh, local specialities from the lake and the garden, with wine, beer, rituals and music! Events like the monthly evening market, maypole dancing, the “Fish and Lake” festival, the Fountain Festival as well as the 36
