INTRO
On behalf of the IBAA Inc committee I would like to welcome everyone to the 2011 RAW Nationals.
The 2011 RAW National’s is recognized as one of the biggest amateur events in bodyboarding in the Southern Hemisphere. Your Official Guide will show you everything you need to know about the contest and what’s happening around it.
This 6-day event is a celebration of a sport that is booming worldwide and about to take quantum leaps forward thanks to the healthy state of the IBA World Tour. IBA Australasia has set a clear course for competitors in Australia to make their way from club level, through State & Nationals levels and onto the Rebel Sport Pro Tour and finally onto the IBA World Tour. It’s a clearly defined path for aspiring young professionals. The 2011 RAW Nationals is the pinnacle of amateur bodyboarding in Australasia and the Rebel Sport Pro is the climax to another amazing year of competition for the Pro’s. On behalf of the committee I would like to wish all competitors good luck and I really hope that you all enjoy yourselves in this wonderful new location of Kiama. WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT? This year marks a first for IBAA as we team up with ASSA (Australian School Surfing Assoc) to present the 2011 NSW School Bodyboarding titles. There is a lot of talent in this scholastic pool and IBAA are opening the door to the pathway for competition with this one day event. There are two divisions U/16 and U/19 and the event will be staged at Surf Beach on Tuesday 17th October between 8am-3pm Come and see the future uncovered at this historical event!

Priority Event Location - Surf Beach, Kiama The venue for this year’s event will be Kiama wedge. This break is right in the heart of Kiama and is conveniently located and easy to find. The wedgy left peaks are perfectly suited towards high performance bodyboarding. The event will be set up in the park next to the Kiama SLSC..
The Block System is our way of showing you what elements of the contest can be on at any one time. As we roll through the competition week, we get closer to the finals & the Pro divisions...

REBELSPORT PRO
The 30th Raw Australasian Titles is the culmination of a series of testing State eliminations around the country and NZ. The tops placed competitors then represent their respective State/Country at this National level to take home the title of Australasian Champion.
The Rebel Sport Pro is the 8th and final event on the 2010 Rebel Sport Pro Tour. The Tour has travelled through NSW, QLD, VIC, SA & WA over the last 10 months and with vital 4 Star points & almost $10,000 up for grab’s the action is sure to be staggering!!
This is the pinnacle of amateur competition and a very important step towards being a professional Bodyboarder.
To be crowned IBAA Rebel Sport Pro Champion is our countries greatest honour and strong performances on the National Pro Tour generally lead to a career on the elusive IBA World Tour.

TRANSTASMAN TAG TEAM CHALLENGE Australia & New Zealand will line up to represent their countries in a 1 hour tag-team surfing match. These teams will be a selection of the best riders the countries have to offer, so it’ll be one of the highlights of the whole week. The Kiwi’s are always hard to beat so get your colours on as we barrack for pride in this historic showdown...
PRESENTATION Again, the Presentation night will top off the contest and be a night of highlights from the week and the year in general. After a long week of competition, the presentation night will be our chance to crown our new champions from all over Australia & NZ and crown the 2011 Rebel Sport Pro Tour Men, Women & DK Champions. Tickets for the presentation will be in limited supply and available at the door for just $40 and includes a 3 course meal. All competitors get free automatic entry Time: 7pm- 11pm Sunday 23rd October At: The Pavillion Dress: Semi-formal, funky suits allowed.
