MORE TVC’S

Most designers set their type arbitrarily, either by pulling values out of the sky or by adhering to a baseline grid. The former case isn’t worth discussing here, but the latter requires a closer look.

Working my way up through the ranks of the ‘Art Department’ and being part of ALL aspects, gave me a world of knowledge and experience throughout the years.

MORE TVC’S

The art of film making and working with so many different mediums is a very creative and stimulating environment.

MORE TVC’S

Shooting inside studios with very specific set ups, re focusses you to really follow the directors briefs and shooting story boards, down to a T.

MORE TVC’S

Theres always the set and re setting up of each shot.

MORE TVC’S

Working closely with the DOP’s to achieve the Pack Shots!

Big rigs and attention to detail.

MORE TVC’S

Some shoots are endless raking up of confetti! I always find myself laughing at what it takes to get the shots.

Haunted houses, NO problem.

I always have as much of the dressing functional as possible. It assists in selling the scene.

LIGHTWEIGHT PROPS

I always make sure that I fully understand the directors vision, and then I add to it in a visual/creative way.

LIGHTWEIGHT PROPS

MORE TVC’S

All projects takes a lot of research to get the correct look and feel across. Especially the Period pieces.

Smoke, water , explosions or anything special effects… is my forte! (only applicable to the top two photos on the left.)

MORE TVC’S

Over the years Ive seen so many different scenarios play out with huge rigs! Crash, boom, bang!!!

MORE TVC’S

On this shoot, the Greens department really had their work cut out. The wind was a huge factor on the day. All the palm trees got metal bases and where dug into the sand.

BLACK MIRROR SERIES - THIS WAS THE PILOT FOR THE SHOW

I get to meet all the different knowledgable people in their respective fields. Propping TVC’s are great fun.Amazing action sequences was shot for the PILOT.

MORE TVC’S

Here I was given an empty floor space in a derelict old building. We polished the floors and painted all the walls and with a big amount of dressing, created a LOFT APARTMENT!

MORE TVC’S

Im always amazed at what it takes from all the relevant departments to get ‘the shot’. A dinner setup sounds simple, until Lighting and Grips moves onto the set.

Its good to get a holistic view of the products in their respective environments.

The saddest part for me is to see how a prop or build, becomes redundant after the famous words (THAT’S A WRAP).

YOU’VE GOT MAIL LOGO

LEFT PICTURE

The envelope had to show in all three the cut away shots. The frame and barb wire was fairly straight forward to achieve, but the carving in a real salt pan, was little more challenging.

Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia. It is a paradisematic country.

FOAM BALLS MANUFACTURE

We had to get HUGE fake balls manufactured. Luckily the correct foam cutting company got onboard to get it done correctly.

DRAWING TO SELL THE IDEA TO CLIENT

I presented 4 different designs for the ‘carved tusk’.

SET PHOTOGRAPHS
