Robot practical Robots could provide the solution to a range of the fresh produce industry’s most pressing problems, the audience at a recent IAgrE lunchtime lecture heard. The sector faces major challenges in recruiting workers and the withdrawal of plant protection products, said Tom Beach. 26
He believes the Robotti machines which he and colleague Jack Wyatt import via Autonomous Agri Solutions could help address those problems.
The perfect employee? The machine’s ability to work very accurately, 24 hours a day is ideally suited to sector’s needs, he said.
