AADC & UDC’s Event

Democracy was found in ancient Greece, yet first practiced in the great USA. Democracy is a divine force that protects the weak, the poor and un-represented. Each vote is a brick in the pyramid of Justice; if the base of the pyramid changes, then the top will fall. Universal Dental Clinics cohosted with Arab American Democracy Club on January 25, 2015 a fundraiser brunch for Jesus “Chuy” Garcia - mayoral candidate for the city of Chicago. We, as Universal Dental Clinics believe that candidate who addresses the needs of minorities and works hard to improve our communities deserves our votes. As everyone noticed, Democracy has been drifting away from Chicago in the past four years. The time has come for change; we need someone that is capable to lead the city in a positive direction. As Garcia stated “Chicagoans are hungry for change and a new style of leadership”. He comes from a minority back-

ground, known to be hard working, family oriented with values that we share. His empathy for the less fortunate, and his diplomatic skills and experience qualifies him to run as a Mayor for Chicago. The Arab community in Chicago is maturing and has strength that can play an important role in electing the right candidate.

Chuy Garica is a community activist that has supported our community for a very long time and we believe deeply in the pledges he has made and the actions he has taken to support his promises. It is an excellent opportunity to show our strong position and protect our community’s interests by contributing in this election. “Our voices are heard, when we speak, and our actions influence, when we act.” Minorities are always undervalued, it is important for minorities to be recognized

and change the perspective from minority to equality. We march behind a new leader who we have faith in to restore Chicago and return us to the path of prosperity. We endorsed Jesus “Chuy” Garcia for next Mayor of Chicago. Let’s give him our support and vote on February 24th, 2015. A vote for him is an investment in our future and looking for the next four years to be beneficial for our Arab community and other communities as well. Chuy Garcia is a true “Son of Chicago’s Human Rights Struggle”.

Don’t Let Back Pain Control Your Life? A herniated disc, often called a slipped disc, is a painful condition that many people suffer from. The spine is made up of many vertebrae, each of which is cushioned by semi-solid discs. When one of these disks ruptures, shifts or becomes worn, it can lead to a herniated disc. Symptoms: The most common symptom associated with a herniated disc is pain. That’s because the discs that separate spinal vertebrae are essentially bulging out of place. They are sometimes called bulging discs for this reason. One or multiple herniated discs can lead to: Chronic pain Weakness Reduced mobility “Tingling” sensation Arm pain Leg pain Numbness Typically, the identifying factor in a herniated disc is the way the pain appears to travel. People suffering from one of these ruptured discs often report a pain sensation that moves from the neck or back all the way down through the arm or leg. This is caused by the bulging disc irritating the nerves that surround the spine. Herniated Disc Causes Each of the discs that separate the spinal vertebrae is comprised of two parts: a tough out-

There is often no one cause of a herniated disc, but instead many. For most people, it is a gradual wear and tear on the spine that eventually leads to a damaged disc.
