66. When directions take effect (1) A direction under section 64 becomes effective — (a) on the expiry of 7 days after its receipt by the Board or of such longer period as the Minister may, at the request of the Board, determine; or (b) if subsection (1) of section 65 applies, on its being confirmed under subsection (2) of that section. (2) If the Board asks the Minister to extend the 7 day period under subsection (1), the Minister must consider the request and notify the Board of his or her decision before the 7 day period has expired

Part 2 — Consultation and provision of information 67. Consultation The Board and the Minister, at the request of either, are to consult together, either personally or through appropriate representatives, in relation to any aspect of the operation of the corporation.

68. Minister to have access to information (1) The Minister is entitled — (a) to have information in the possession of the corporation and any subsidiary; and (b) where the information is in or on a document, to have, and make and retain copies of, that document. (2) For the purposes of subsection (1) the Minister may — (a) request the chief executive officer or the Board to furnish information to the Minister; (b) request the chief executive officer or the Board to give the Minister access to information; (c) for the purposes of paragraph (b) make use of the staff of the corporation and any subsidiary to obtain the information and furnish it to the Minister.
