Sculpting America's landscape for over 40 years. In November 1973, Dixon purchased a unique, patented zero-turn transaxle which delivered independent drive power to the rear wheels for ultimate control. This allowed homeowners to experience the benefits and maneuverability of a zero-turning radius mower at an affordable price. In March of 1974, Dixon ZTRÂŽ was born when the first model rolled off the assembly line. Customers quickly learned that the revolutionary design cut their mowing time in half. The first models featured a fiberglass body and an 8 HP engine. Today, as Dixon celebrates over 40 years in the industry, the product range includes a model line of zero-turn mowers that suits both the homeowner and the professional with engine sizes up to 31 HP. Riding tractors, lawn mowers and a high-wheeled trimmer round out the Dixon product line to truly offer a mower for every need.
