HUSH: Good evening Reekado Banks, How are you doing? I'm not fine (just kidding though).

HUSH: We would like to meet Reekado, who is REEKADO?

My name is Ayo Solomon, actually I was born on December 6th, 1993. The last child of the family of six children, hmmm, graduated from the University of Lagos (UNILAG), studied History and Strategic Studies, that's all for now.

HUSH: How did you come by the name Reekado Banks when your real name is Ayoleyi Hanniel Solomon? Hmm... “Reekado” has to do with my favourite Spanish word, which means RULER, so I decided to adopt the name. I took the spelling to suit me, and the “BANKS” which stands the fact that I am rich in musical content.

HUSH: Okay, so when did you exactly begin your music career?

Hmm ... I will say 2008 when I was like a shortcut from boredom, when I just finished my WAEC, I was about to write my NECO and it was like three months in between. I was not really doing anything in the house 'cause I was the last child, the only one in the house, my other siblings were away (some married and some in school). So to while away time, I found myself writing rap music and songs.

HUSH: Oh rap music, but you don't rap presently, do you? (Smiles)

HUSH: What exactly is the inspiration behind your style of music?

Basically, I write my music to suit people, because I don't have a particular music style, I just call my music “ Sweet and Sellable”, I am not singing R&B alone, neither hip-hop 'cause people have different opinions towards life, so as someone that wants to take over the world, you have to think for everybody. So I try as much as possible to suit people.

HUSH: We heard that you have siblings in the music Industry, how true is it?

My first sister, the second child does gospel music.

HUSH: And do you plan collaborating with her? Definitely.
