PUTTING THEORY INTO PRACTICE
Humber programs offer unique work-integrated learning opportunities to prepare students for their future careers. Students apply what they’ve learned in class and in real-world environments through a wide range of academic, community and industry partnerships. These work-integrated and experiential learning opportunities may include field placements, practicums, clinical placements, co-operative education work terms, internships, applied research projects or service learning. You can work with industry partners to help solve real-world problems or work with us to explore how to start your own business. Students may also volunteer on- and off-campus or even participate in global opportunities. Check the program pages on humber.ca/programs to learn more about specific opportunities.
“I saw Humber and the diverse courses available within its programs and what labs and resources it had to offer, and I was pretty swept away. I got involved with Humber’s Skills Varsity Team and learned a lot about building systems and programming as a whole. It also gave me the skills to train and mentor future competitors. It was so nice to walk into a classroom as a third year and interact with all the first years and have a relationship with them.”
