A
t Union County Pediatrics Group, Dr. Raghunandan Sundaram provides patients with high-quality pediatric care from infancy all the way to adolescence. Because he works so closely with patients at such a young age, Dr. Sundaram is able to create long-lasting, trusting doctor-patient relationships, making those in his care feel at home during their visits. “We strive to educate families as partners in their children’s care and we rely on their feedback to improve our services,” says Dr. Sundaram. “Maintaining our patients’ health when healthy and making the child feel better during times of illness is, and always will remain, our priority.” Dr. Sundaram received his medical degree in pediatrics from the Bangalore University in India, where he was named his class valedictorian. After receiving his degree, Dr. Sundaram completed an internship at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York, followed by a residency in the Mount Sinai Medical Center’s Jersey City program. Dr. Sundaram has received numerous awards. He was named one of New Jersey’s Favorite Kids Doctors by New Jersey Family in 2013, 2014 and 2015, and won a New Jersey Top Doctors award in 2013, 2014 and 2015, Who’s Who Award in 2013,
Continental Who’s Who Pediatrician of the Year for Edison Township, NJ in 2015, Horizon NJ Health Top Physician in 2009, Most Compassionate Doctor in 2011 (he also won a Patients Choice Award), as well as the International Association of Pediatricians “Leading Physician of the World.”
We understand the importance of treating all patient concerns, including the child’s emotional wellbeing, and that of the family. Dr. Sundaram stays abreast of his continuing-education requirements by attending pediatrics conferences such as Pediatric Infectious Disease in New York, Practical Pediatric Conferences and Continuing Medical Education Through Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth, NJ. Dr. Sundaram and the Union County Pediatrics team provide preventive and primary care for infants and children, diagnosis and treatment of illnesses, routine vaccinations and annual health and wellness exams.
