ased in Manalapan, Dr. Lisa Silbret’s and Dr. Alan Schechter’s practice offers individualized treatments for skin cancer detection and the effects of aging. “When patients come into the office, I want them to be comfortable. There is a lot of anxiety about cosmetic procedures and no one wants to look fake or plastic. I believe that nothing is more important than helping someone feel better about themselves. My goal is to restore a youthful appearance in a way that looks entirely natural. ” As the daughter of an artist mother and physician father, Dr. Silbret’s decision to specialize in cosmetic dermatology was a natural progression for her. “I love how the knowledge of science and anatomy blend so perfectly with the art of fillers, Botox/Dysport and lasers. I can then use this art of facial sculpturing to create a natural and youthful appearance.” After graduating from The University of Pennsylvania, she pursued her career in medicine
by attending The Albert Einstein College of Medicine where she received her medical degree. She completed her medical internship at The New York Hospital of Cornell University Medical Center and trained at the Memorial Sloan Kettering. In addition, Dr. Silbret did research at Rockefeller University, investigating strategies for the treatment of melanoma. During her dermatology residency at Albert Einstein, she was honored to be chosen as Chief Resident. “Aging gracefully means something different for every person. Some patients might simply want to improve their complexion or erase a few brown spots requiring chemical peels and a good skin care regimen. While for others, a combination of procedures can take years off by erasing facial wrinkles and restoring volume for a refreshed appearance.” “Beautiful skin is healthy skin. Protecting your skin with a sunscreen of SPF 30 or higher, wearing sun protective clothing, and visiting your dermatologist regularly can keep you looking and feeling your best.” Lisa Silbret, MD, FAAD
