HCEDC Hudson County Economic Development Corporation 5 Walking into Genuardi Master Tailor and Lackawanna Clothing housed in Hoboken’s Neumann Leathers building located at the foot of the rail yards feels like stepping back in time. Recognized nationally and internationally, Joseph Genuardi’s shop is one of the few classically trained master tailor teams remaining, utilizing traditional techniques to craft bespoke formal and casual wear from the fi nest cloths in the world. “My partnership with HCEDC began in 2016 with the Entrepreneurship 101 class in Jersey City offered by UCEDC. I enrolled as I was opening my shop to ensure that I understood best practices to operate a successful business; later that year I went on to win their Quick Pitch competition. Their programs also gave me access to their business mentor
