Responsible and sustainable. In our own manufacturing we use only sustainable materials, and our strong supply chain partnerships mean we can demand the same of everything else we source and specify. But beyond the products themselves, we also use biomass generators and carbon neutral boilers – our major manufacturing plant even burns its own MFC cut-offs to produce heat and we are FSC accredited. Handling logistics and distribution in-house means we can cut our carbon footprint even further, and we carry through our commitment to sustainable working by blanket-wrapping furniture for delivery, instead of wasting single-use packing materials. As part of our managed services agreements, we also promote recycling and re-manufacturing, to first prolong the life of our products, and then make sure as much of them as possible are reused.

Space planning services. Space planning is a central component in our design process. Initial ideas are sketched out to create options, spark discussion and build foundations from which the scheme can evolve to fully answer the brief. Information extracted from the brief / space analysis is applied to a floor plate and furniture is plotted to create functional, aesthetically pleasing arrangements. The design team are familiar with the most up to date legislation and are aware of restrictions or regulations which may inhibit the initial request of the client, such as Workplace and Equality Act requirements. These are considered throughout the design process and options / solutions to overcome all potential issues are presented where necessary.
Revisions. All revisions of our drawings are lettered in sequence, dated and a short description is applied for each change. This allows us to track all amendments and revert back to a specific point in time if options are explored but not progressed to completion.

“By engaging with the client at the earliest possible stage, we create the opportunity to influence the project, develop a rounded concept and extend a scheme to reach far beyond the furniture.”
Combined approach. We draw on the experience gained from working on a number large projects to inform as to the most appropriate selection of furniture and its suitability for the specific environment. All furniture is selected alongside the space planning process with its intended location fully considered and projected use as the primary consideration.
Sign off. Final sign-off drawings are produced as the design phase is coming to a close. They include fully populated general arrangement plans with a legend containing all product details and finishes.

No matter how many times its outward appearance is reinvented by designers, it always comes back to the classic: a simple shape that supports someone sitting in place, poring over the task at hand while the outward world fades away. The best purpose built task chairs include adjustable lumbar support and responsive elements. Some task chairs are specifically designed to help in the rehabilitation of people with lower back pain and other occupational health problems.

Desks.
Cantilever.
To improve cable management options, our Cantilever desks allow the modesty panel to be moved from the rear leg position to the front leg position at no extra cost. Moving the modesty panel allows cable dump trays to be fitted to the outside of the modesty panel to carry cables horizontally, and the addition of the optional vertical cassette completes the system. If you prefer this option, simply change the prefix at the start of the desking code from MCR to MCF.
