Allermuir takes chances. It’s a brand that likes to step out of its comfort zone, be disruptive and is led by ideas, craft and design. Perhaps unsurprisingly, there’s no typical application for Allermuir designs – you may find them in a coffee shop, a transport hub, a chic retail space or a multinational’s foyer. But one thing should strike you with each design – creative flair. Stay interesting. Surprise yourself.

Central Square, Leeds With arguably the finest design, size and specification of any building ever seen in Yorkshire’s capital, Ralph Capper was able create a breathtaking penthouse office suite worthy of the iconic building in the heart of Leeds city centre. In collaboration with the project interior designers SpaceInvader, the brief was to create a space that would offer exceptional functionality for business use whilst also feeling like a real home from home. A specifically commissioned 26-seater boardroom with its floor-to-ceiling views of the city is the real pinnacle of the project.

Outside is an oasis of calm and tranquillity; commissioning and installing a living wall, butterfly hotel, hand-made bespoke pagoda and seating and marble-topped credenzas, as well as water features and a variety of topiary.

Inspired Villages Group, Warwickshire The Inspired Villages Group offer luxury retirement villages which places the health and happiness of their residents at the heart of the environments they offer. At Great Alne Park in historic Warwickshire, the brief was to create a tranquil and rural retreat, creating spaces to relax but also re-energise. Bespoke seating for the private cinema created a touch of luxury and art-deco feel. Tailored furniture and bespoke seating in the lounge and games room allowed flexible spaces for the community, hobby groups or just quiet relaxation. The dining room furniture and fit out of the central clubhouse not only complemented the overall setting and style of the residential village but provided the perfect place to socialise with family and friends. Following the completion of Great Alne Park, Ralph Capper are currently undertaking further projects with Inspired Villages Group.

Bauhaus, Manchester In the heart of Manchester, Bauhaus is an impressive Grade A office building providing creative, functional space for modern working. The brief was to create a sophisticated, high-end office space that incorporated a co-working lounge with informal meeting spaces and private work areas in a way which inspires productivity and wellbeing. At the heart of the space, the co-working space balances functionality for business and a social lounge for collaborative working. The servery island has been designed to encourage social gatherings and create a cohesive community between different businesses within the development.

The modern contemporary aesthetic was achieved through the sourcing and installation of high-quality furniture and finishes. On the ground floor, furniture with low or zero volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions creates optimal air quality, protecting workers’ health and wellbeing.
