and her poise and appearance dress. She also performed her talent, a vocal performance of “Nothing Can Stop Me Now.” At the state pageant in Meridian Kenna was a Top 10 Finalist and won a preliminary scholastic scholarship.

SM President Dr. Martha Saunders hosted a Welcome Reception for this year’s Mississippi Miss Hospitality contestants at her home. Twenty-nine young ladies spent a week touring and visiting in the Hub City, doing community service and visiting hospital patients. Jordan Whittle, Miss Hattiesburg, was crowned this year’s winner during the finale at the Saenger.

Bostick competed at the Miss America Outstanding Teen Pageant in Orlando, Fla., recently. Bostick, a junior at Oak Grove High School, entered the competition as Miss Leaf River Valley Outstanding Teen. The Miss America's Outstanding Teen is a little sister to Miss America. Her pageant platform for the pageant was "Eyes of Love," a non-profit ministry she organized that collects eye glasses for people in Nigeria. Bostick is the daughter of Jon and Angela Bostick.
