Developmental Services of Nebraska, Inc. (DSN) Treatment Support Specialist - Kearney DSN-Kearney is currently accepting applications for full-time and part-time Treatment Support Specialists (TSS). Under the direction of the Treatment Program Manager, the TSS provides direct support to implement formalized treatment plans for individuals with dual diagnosis-developmental disabilities and mental health needs. The person holding this position will provide supports at the individual’s residence and in a variety of community settings and must be able to assist individuals in establishing community membership and identifying and assuming valued social roles. Because individuals supported under this program may have been institutionalized on a long-term basis, the person holding this position will be responsible to support people reestablishing themselves as productive members of their community through involvement in activities in which all community members may take part. Employee will be responsible for implementation of treatment plans and the provision of behavioral interventions to support people to live in their community, and will assist people to explore identified personal goals and activities for personal development in the areas of employment, volunteer activities and as well as recreational and spiritual endeavors. Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (education, rehabilitation or related social or behavioral science field) and two years experience working with people with developmental disabilities and mental health needs, preferably in a clinical setting. Job requirements include a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and the ability to safely transport individuals receiving supports. Candidates must pass background screens, including the Nebraska State Patrol Sex Offender Registry,Adult and Child Protective Services and a Criminal History Record check. Starting wage commensurate with education and experience. ($12.00-$14.50/hr for 20-40 hrs/wk.)
