Warriors Secure Crucial Win in Derby Against Dinamo

It was a crucial match for both North Geelong Warriors and Dinamo St Albans as they faced off at the Croatian derby at Elcho Park. With both teams struggling to taste victory in weeks, it was indeed a battle to stay out of relegation.

In a lacklustre affair, the only goal of the game came in the 8th minute when Warriors’ Steve Fidele crossed the ball, only to �ind the defender Troy Ruthven who unfortunately headed the ball into his own net in an attempt to clear it. With each team managing only three shots on target, the Warriors managed to hold onto their lead and secure the win.

The victory sees the Warriors move off the bottom of the ladder, but both Dinamo and Warriors are still precariously in the relegation zone.

North Geelong Warriors will now face Oakleigh in their next match on Friday night, May 5th at Jack Edwards Reserve with kick-off at 20:30.
