HOSPICE AND PALLIATIVE NURSES FOUNDATION 2011 ANNUAL REPORT Our Mission The mission of the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Foundation (www.hpnf.org) is to raise funds to support quality of life in persons experiencing serious illness by enhancing nursing excellence. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization which promotes the profession of palliative nursing through the advancement and accessibility of research and education. Incorporated in 1998, the Foundation is part of the Alliance for Excellence in Hospice and Palliative Nursing and is the fund raising entity whose sole purpose is to support the efforts of its sister organizations, HPNA (www.HPNA.org) and NBCHPN® (www.NBCHPN.org). In 2011 the Foundation offered 36 scholarships, grants and awards to nursing professionals! In 2012 the Foundation plans to increase its scholarship offerings!
