The rest will just be learning the job and doing well.” Both rookies will be spend the next 12 weeks with several field training officers, learning the ins and outs of TPD and the Chair City. “We’re not just going to turn them loose,” said Insley. “We’re going to make sure they have the skills and the training in order to move forward.” Wolfe welcomes the opportunity to learn from some of TPD’s finest. “I just want to learn from everybody here,” Wolfe said. “They have the experience. We’ll have three or four different perspectives and we’ll be able to learn what kind of officers we want to be.” Wheeles and Wolfe will start on Sunday.
