Lady Bulldogs drop two games in highly competitive District 11-3A

The Howe Lady Bulldogs (8-14, 1-3) ran into a buzz saw portion of the schedule last when facing Bells (15-9, 3-1) and Gunter (19-7, 4-0). The results were losses to both great teams by scores of 54-26 and 43-12, respectively. dogs to five and 12.
Doty’s three 3-pointers made her the leading scorer for Howe with nine points. Others were Brunner (4), Emery Snapp (4), Teagan Stubblefield (3), Shockey (2), and Aubrielle West (2).
On Tuesday, the Lady Bulldogs hosted Bells who took an early 13-9 lead with Howe getting points from four different players in Jordan Brunner, Presley Shockey, Kendall Griffin, and Jentrie Doty. But the Lady Panthers held Howe scoreless in the second period meanwhile adding 17 of their own to make it 30-9 at intermission. On Friday, Howe traveled to Gunter and lost 43-12 with Emery Snapp leading the way for Howe with seven points and four rebounds.
Howe is hosting Blue Ridge on Tuesday and traveling to Leonard on Friday needing to sweep the week.
In the second half, Bells scored 14 in the third and 10 more in the fourth period while holding the Lady BullThrough 22 games a year ago, Howe also sat with an 8-14 record. But the Lady Bulldogs have improved defensively by two points per game.
