US Representative Pat Fallon sold McCarthy for Speaker to voters despite concerns from constituents
Editorial
On an “Emergency Tele Town Hall” Thursday afternoon, US Congressman Pat Fallon of the Fourth District of Texas opened the meeting with a sales pitch on US House Speaker Designate Kevin McCarthy that acted as if his entire $40 billion Ukraine aid package was at stake if his constituents dare suggest someone for Speaker other than McCarthy. Fallon, who made the statement on the phone that “no one is to the right of me” recently voted to extend chain migration to adult dependents of employment visa holders. The same day, he voted to pass a $817 billion defense
