left in the second quarter.

Howe’s next possession ended on their third punt of the half. But the defense kept Howe in the game as Bells turned the ball over on downs to give the Bulldogs the ball with 3:02 left in the half and a chance to score. Two pass interference calls and a 15-yard Triston Williams reception set up Howe at the Bells 10 yard line, but a holding call backed it up to the 20. Howe looked like they were going to score on a throwback from Haley to Rattler, but the ball sailed over his head and incomplete. Haley threw a jump ball in the endzone for Rattler as time expired, but it fell incomplete with good coverage by the Panthers. Bells took a 13-7 lead into the locker room.

Bells began the second half with the ball and the game changed on the second play when Grady Waldrip raced 68 yards to give Bells a 21-7 lead after a successful 2-point conversion. The Bulldogs put together an impressive 13-play drive to the Bells seven yard line, but again were turned away with Haley trying to hit Cooper Jones in the endzone.

On the second play for Bells, Waldrip got a toss and ran 92 yards to give the Panthers a 29-7 lead after a 2-point conversion with 4:23 left in the third. Howe was forced to punt on their next possession but got the football back on the return when Garren Lankford caused a fumble by Jacob Aaron. But Howe, on a fourth-and-two, jumped offsides which forced them into an eventual turnover on downs.

Bells scored on their next possession on a 5-yard touchdown by Waldrip closing out a 9-play, 70-yard drive that made it 37-7 Bells with 7:27 left. The Bulldogs finished the night with a 10play, 75-yard drive that ended on a Rattler 11-yard touchdown with 3:08 left in the game.

Howe will host Blue Ridge (4-4, 1-2) for Senior Night and the final home game. If the Bulldogs can beat Blue Ridge and Lone Oak in the final two games, they most likely would secure the third seed for the playoffs. The game will be broadcast live on howeenterprise.com and on YouTube at channel Studio42.
