In the Tom Bean area of Precinct 207, Sandra Lawson defeated Russell Allen 41-35.
In Grayson County, 4,423 Republicans turned out, while 733 Democrats exercised their rights. Overall, the voter turnout for the county was 5.73 percent.
In statewide elections, Attorney General Ken Paxton may have ended the Bush dynasty by beating George P. Bush by 36 percentage points, 68 to 32 in the GOP runoff.
On the Democrat side, Rochelle Garza defeated Joe Jaworski 62.7 percent to 37.3 percent in the runoff for Attorney General.
The Democrat runoff for Lieutenant Governor was won by Mike Collier with 54.8 percent of the vote over Michelle Beckley who shored up 45.2 percent.
