City Sales tax up 31.59
Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced last week he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose taxing districts $866.5 million in local sales tax allocations for April, 27.9 percent more than in April 2021. These allocations are based on sales made in February by businesses that report tax monthly.
In Howe, the figure came to $38,045.32 which is an increase of 31.59 percent over the same period a year ago. For the year, Howe is ahead of the 2021 pace by 14.11 percent with a cumulative total of $176,137.69 compared to $154,351.43 a year ago.
