HMS Students of the Month

Howe Middle School Band Director Julie Cook recently received the ATSSB Award (Association of Texas Small School Bands). The award is for the Outstanding Performance Series for the recording of “Bazaar” where the Howe seventh and eighth grade band was named state champions for their performance.

“What made it more fun was having these three with me. No one gets this kind of award without others behind the scenes. We have the best team that makes it fun to go to school everyday,” said Cook in a social media post.

Sixth Grade—Rylee Whiteside and Jackson Clement. Seventh Grade—Kimberly Arteaga and Peyton Duncan. Eighth Grade—Holly Howard and James Reese.
