In Science, the scores went from 93 to 94 percent in the approaches. But the substantial improvement came in meets which went from 60 to 81 percent. Masters jumped from 12 percent to 29 percent.
In Social Studies, the scores were high to begin with. The 95, 78, and 48 percent in approaches, meets, and masters saw a comparison of 96, 81, and 39 percent.
The only thing that kept Howe from an A overall was the CCR score which is from the COVID year which is a year behind.
“I think our next Campus Improvement Meeting that’s coming up—I think we’re going to go ahead and try to shoot for that A for next year,” said Kempson.

Howe’s next possession ended on a punt after seven plays. Pottsboro only needed two plays to score when quarterback Halen Flanagan, alternating with starting quarterback Jett Carroll, found Jude Bentley for a 76-yard aerial. The score moved to 35-0 with 7:28 left in the second quarter. After a Howe punt, Pottsboro scored once more before half on a 3-play, 74-yard drive with Carroll finding Reid Thompson in the right side of the north endzone. With 2:15 left in the half, Pottsboro led, 42-0.
Howe looked like they would score before the half when Haley hit Jones for a 34-yard reception to the 10 yard line. But Townsley stepped in front of a pass intended for Ethan Lopez in the endzone for his second interception of the half.
Howe took the ball to begin the second half and were unable to capitalize and had to punt. Pottsboro took advantage of the short field at the Howe 47 yard line and scored on a 10-play drive and finished on a 35-yard field goal by (Continued on page 9)
