Young Howe 12U All-Stars team fares well in district tournament
The Howe 12U Baseball All-Stars played in the district tournament hosted by S&S this weekend Howe was eliminated Saturday evening in their third game of the tournament The Howe All-Stars played a very good game, but in the end lost to their regular season rivals, the Pottsboro Cardinals, by a score of 8-6 Howe and Pottsboro have battled back and forth this season Head Coach Kent Lowder

Sexual Assault suspect arrested
On Saturday, June 15th Grayson County Deputies and Investigators responded to a sexual assault report The investigation led to an arrest of a Jeremy Mikel Stephenson, a white male, 30 years old of Denison, Texas for Indecency with a Child Stephenson has since posted a $30,000 bond Investigators learned that Stephenson had previously worked as a firefighter and police officer in nearby cities, and is active at a church in Gainesville, Texas

Investigators feel that due to the circumstances surrounding the case that there may be more victims The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office encourages anyone with any information to contact the criminal investigations division and speak with Investigator Robert Todd at 903813-4200 ext 2243
Charles Pelkey, 1944-2019
Charles Pelkey died on June 19th in Howe, TX, at the age of 75 Charles is survived by his wife, Donna, and daughters, Karen and Kelly

Charles was born in Fordyce, AK, to Dorothy and Ernest Pelkey His father, Ernest Edwin was killed in World War II a few months after Charles was born Dorothy and ‘Chuck’ moved to Angleton, TX where he graduated from Angleton High School and later attended Texas Tech University Charles married Donna Taylor in 1968 and moved to Friendswood, TX, where they raised two daughters. Charles spent his career as an electrical engineer Charles was a private pilot in earlier life and enjoyed model building
Charles and Donna moved to Tulsa, OK, in 2000 and later retired to Howe, TX, in 2014 They are members of First Baptist Howe.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for June 21 at 10:00 at First Baptist Howe
