Six graduates made up Howe's last Class of '19
As we take a look at Howe High School Class of 2019, we thought we'd compare and contrast what the Old Howe High looked like 100 years ago. Could the graduating class of 1919 even imagine over 90 students graduating from Howe one hundred years later? Probably not, considering their class had five girls and one boy. One boy. Paul Patterson Shelley. He was not one of the original members of the class, but came from Gunter after going to school there for three to four years. He served as the editor-in-chief of the Argus which was the Howe yearbook before the Spotlight came into existence.
Shelley's classmates strangely two sets of twin sisters. Lottie Ann Thompson and Oline Thompson, then Dadie Lida Butler and Dasie Lila Butler. Una Stark. must have felt a little left out at times.

There were many other classmates than the six that graduated, however, many of them didn't feel the need of an education, while others attended different schools. Others failed and dropped behind in their grades.
