Lady Bulldogs finish second in early season tourney
The Howe Lady Bulldogs (5-6) are underway and the perennial playoff team finished with a second place title in the Bells tournament over the weekend One tenth of a second kept the girls from claiming the tournament championship
Howe started by beating Decatur, 34-33 thank in big part to Peyton Streetman getting to the foul line 19 times and converting on 15 of them She ended with a total of 22 points for the Lady Bulldogs while adding a 3-pointer in the fourth and deciding period Senior Payton Griffin added five points while Jenna Honore added three Calley Vick and Ally Harvey rounded out the scoring with two points each

The Lady Bulldogs then took out Aubrey, 47-33 with Streetman again leading in scoring with 17 points She shot 7 of 9 from the
Other scorers for Howe were Honore (5), Vick (4), and Molly Wilson (2)
The Lady Bulldogs then knocked out the home tournament team by defeating Bells, 48-33 Streetman led Howe with 26 points, shooting 12 of 14 from the free-throw line She added 12 from the field Others scoring were Harvey (9), Griffin (5), Vick (5), Honore (2), and Agee (1)
The win over Bells put them in the championship game with Leonard which looked to be in Howe's hand until the final one-tenth of a second in the game The Lady Tigers ended up with the win, 49-48
Streetman again led Howe with 22 points, this time only toeing the line nine times in the game, albeit successful on eight of the free
