Description c defeating the Callisburg Wildcats

28-14 on Thursday night Carson Daniels had an outstanding night rushing the football and scored a 5yard touchdown to tie the game at 6-6 Daniels also added the 2-point conversion to give the Dogs a lead they would not relinquish With the defense now playing well, led by Matthew Bearden and Ryan Hough, the Bulldogs offense began to move the ball with some fine running by Daniels who took the ball to the one yard line Austin Haley sneaked in for the score After an illegal procedure call, the Bulldogs were forced to go for it from the 7 yard line, but that was no problem for the tandem of Haley to Hough with a quick pass and catch and Howe had a 16-6 lead The half ended with an onside kick recovery by Bearden and catch from Haley to Hough Colby Hopper scored on a 10-yard sweep, but the 2-point conversion failed After the kickoff, Matt Hayes ended a Callisburg threat with an interception at the Bulldog 30 yard line From there, the Dogs began their march to the end zone with some slick running by Korben Kemp who finished the drive on another 10-yard sweep that completed the scoring for Howe

The Seventh Grade Bulldogs finished the season with a 5-4 record by winning their last two games against Pilot Point and Callisburg Over all, this was a really good season and even with some injuries and a huge step up in the competition level from what they have seen in the past These Dogs rose to the challenge
