McAdams, Hartsfield and Harvey win first in powerlifting meet

Howe held a girls and boys powerlifting meet Friday and Saturday and three of the HHS lifters finished first in their class Dreana McAdams placed first in the girls 148 lb class with a total of 900 pounds lifted Aubrey Friedman finished second in her class

In the boys meet, Tanner Hartsfield won the 181 lb division with a total of 1315 pounds lifted Chase Harvey took the 220 lb division with his total of 1195 pounds lifted Howe's Chase Barnett finished second in the 123 lb group while

Michael Hymel also finished second in his 181 lb group, only behind Hartsfield
McAdams totals were 325 in squats, 205 in bench, and 370 in dead lift Hartsfield's breakdown was 500 squats, 300 bench and 515 deadlift Harvey's squat total was 425 while benching 285 and deadlifting 485
Mike Grimes, 360 lbs, of Princeton had the highest lift total with 1530 Alex Headley, 330 lbs, of Plano led all girl lifters with a total of 1030 pounds.
Chamber to hold downtown mixer Thursday evening
The Howe Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a "Chamber Mixer" on Thursday evening at 6:30 pm in Dowtown Howe at the Howe Development Alliance/Howe Chamber building Scheduled to speak is Ben Vincent, past-president of the Greater Texoma Realtors Association


The event is open to the public and the chamber will offer memberships to businesses for $75 annually and individuals for $25 annually
Refreshments will be available and there will be a 50/50 cash draw at the conclusion of the evening

Ben Vincent is the founder of the Vincent Realty Group He is a broker licensed with the Texas Real Estate Commission and has over eleven years experience in the North Texas real estate market Vincent earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Austin College in Sherman, Texas, in 1985 He entered the real estate market as an agent in 2005, and earned his broker's license in 2008
As a top producer for Keller Williams, Vincent served on the Agent Leadership Committee for four years He is a recent graduate
1998 and served four terms as City Councilman for Tom Bean He is currently on the Board of Directors with the Greater Texoma Association of Realtors, and is on the Education Committee



He is an active volunteer with the Sherman Community Players, and acted as musical director for their Fall 2011 production of "Ring of Fire, the Music of Johnny Cash"
In his spare time, Ben enjoys time with his wife of 23 years, Nancy, daughters, Kalli and Sara, and grandsons, Ryan, Jacob and Cruz Ben is also active in music, serving as guitarist for the First United Methodist Church of Howe, and
