Bulldogs take bronze championship at NCTC Holiday Classic

The Howe Bulldogs captured the bronze championship in Gainesville late last week with a good showing against good competition The Dogs lost, however, to start the tourney, 64-55 to Collinsville The back-and-forth game saw Howe leading at the half, 40-32, but the Pirates outscored Howe, 21-8, in the third quarter. Howe had a great fourth quarter to come back and tie the game at 52 at the end of regulation, but Collinsville took the overtime quarter, 12-3 to end the game Ty Harvey led the Bulldogs with 19 points and Elijah Campbell netted 11 Other scoreres were Tyler Hawkins 8, Seth Seibold 7, Brandon Wall 5, and James Cowin 5

The Bulldogs then were defeated by eventual tournament champion Texoma Christian School, 58-37 Cowin led Howe with 13 points followed by Campbell with 10 Other scorers were Harvey 8, and Seibold 4, Wall 2 Howe held strong during the game, but TCS pulled away mightily in the fourth quarter with a 23-13 run

Howe then won an overtime game against Muenster Sacred Heart, 6260 It was Harvey and Campbell who scored to break the 58-58 regulation tie to get the win for Howe Harvey led the Bulldogs with 22 points while Campbell contributed 18 Other scorers were Cowin 7, Wall 7, Seibold 4, and Brent Masters 4.

Howe rounded out the tournament with a 52-36 thumping of Valley View to capture the bronze tournament championship Harvey went wild with 30 points followed by Wall's 8. Other scorers were Campbell 6, Seibold 6, and Cowin 2
