Bulldogs score 10 touchdowns in scrimmage with Paris Chisum

The troop was reforemed in December, 1951 by the Howe American Legion with the leadership of Jack Hollensed and C L Thomas New scouts included Elvis Arterbury, Bill Thompson, Harold Taylor, Jerry Buckner, Bobby Sollis, Bobby Helms, David Catching and Bobby Taylor
Throughout the years, the leadership passed along to such men as E F Arterbury (1953-57), Wayne Gray and Cashman Frampton and between 1958 and 1966 the following served as scoutmasters - James D Finney, Donal M Imboden, H K Caldwell, Elvis Arterbury, Lee Wesley Brown and Robert Nelms Jim Whitehead worked with the troop from 1966 to 1969

In later years, Jim Sutton, Harold Taylor, Jimmy Don McMillion and others have taken their turns as scoutmasters Many, many fathers, mothers and other interested community leaders have worked with the scouting program in Howe to help this community develop strong leaders for the future The scouting experience is one that stays with a young man as throughout his life


In a controlled scrimmage, the Howe Bulldogs used their vaunted wing-T offense to score 10 touchdowns Friday night at Bulldogs Stadium

Howe has been a dominant running offensive football team since the arrival of Dale West and his style of old-school offense, but on Friday, the Bulldogs fans saw something rarely seen - a passing touchdown As a matter of fact, Brandown Wall threw for three of them In the early scrimmage portion, Wall hit Brent also scored two touchdowns and Cooper Akins added one also
In the live half, Howe scored another five touchdowns Matthews scored on a 52-yard run, Wall threw another touchdown pass to Masters for 30 yards, Akins scored on a 50yard run, Andrew Griffin scored on an 80-yard run, and Cade Courtney finished out the scoring on a 25yarder
Howe will travel to Aubrey on Thursday for theif final scrimmage
