Now that we have two official presidential candidates, it appears evident that both political parties feel that they'd have the election in the bag if they just nominated absolutely anyone else Furthermore, it may even be that the vice presidential candidates could team up with a Pence/Kaine or Kaine/Pence ticket and win in an absolute landslide.
The GOP convention was hijacked by the new Trumplican party and was chock full of non-traditional Republican conservative principles Some GOP members referred to the RNC as "Really Not Conservative "
The Democrat convention was void of any American flags Apparently, they removed them and set them outside where they were burned, or "berned" by protesters in Philly
If you didn't hear about the raucous acts outside of the convention, it's probably because of who was covering it The party that wants to build bridges instead of walls, constructed a temporary fence to keep protesters out If they jumped the convention fence, they were arrested If they jumped the border fence, they were invited to speak at the convention howeenterprise com
Howe Lions Club officially chartered, again

It has been 16 years since the Howe Lions Club existed Originally formed in 1974, the Howe Lions Club served the city as it's own civic organization for many years and did great things for Howe unitl participation eroded in 2000 But on Saturday night, Lions Clubs from all over North Texas found their way to the local American Legion where a charter party was held for the Howe Lions Club to once again form and serve the community
Thirteen charter members were present for the inauguration and were given commemorative Lions Charter pins as well as Centennial pins as Howe is considered a special Centennial membership group. The thirteen present members were Monte Walker, Carl Hudman, Brandy Hudman, Jesse Davis, Debbie Lowery,
Darrell Walker, Darla Wogan, Daniel Pepe, Josh Hill, Amber Dimayuga, Rebecca Luna, William Stambaugh, and Barbara Stambaugh
The charter party raised a net of over $4,100 as it was held at the Van Alstyne American Legion on Jay Road near the dividing line of Howe and Van Alstyne Lions Club members came from Forth

What is it about football? Back to School Downtown Block Party this Saturday

By Monte Walker
It spans the hottest of hot weather, cool weather and sometimes even extreme cold weather It makes some people scream and yell as if they're a completely different person than the one a few hours prior at their place of business It appeals to the human instincts of male one-on-one combat as well as well as the complex thinkers who appreciate the finer nuances of tactical strategy The mentality of "only the strong survive" penetrates the feral nature of our humanistic existence The sport makes moms all over America

This Saturday, the Howe Chamber of Commerce will hold the 3rd Annual Back to School Blues Downtown Block Party This year's feature performer will be Jason Elmore and Hoodoo Witch thanks to primary sponsor Tomlin
