Sewer in a home leads the city to spend $47,000 for new pump
Each time a big rain comes in Howe, a backup in the sewer line has a family on Farmington Road with sewer in their home In order to fix the problem, the city approved the spending of no more than $47,000 on a Gorman-Rupp pump to temporarily fix the problem until the new sewer plan takes place with the future development to the south
"We could spend half a million on this sewer line and it be obsolete in five years." said City Administrator Joe Shephard. "Or we can do this and help alleviate the problem."

The purchase will help pump the sewer from the Farmington Road area down to the 20-inch main by the new apartments
The plan is to have the new pump in place in six weeks Shephard said the pump was ordered Wednesday and work will begin as soon as it is delivered
Rough week for Bulldogs; lose to Pilot Point and Gunter
Pilot Point not only upset Howe, but they delivered a deciding KO punch to the undefeated home record.
