The Book of Proverbs is written from the point of view of wisdom Wisdom hates pride, arrogance, and deceit, lies, twisted speech. “If you respect the Lord, you will hate evil I hate pride and conceit and deceitful lies,” Proverbs 8:13
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,” Psalms 111:10 The fear of the Lord will keep you from sin (Proverbs 16:6) because the fear of the Lord is to hate evil
