Chamber mixer downtown

The Howe Area Chamber of Commerce held their first ever mixer event on Thursday evening in the new Howe Development Alliance building in downtown Howe About 40 were on-hand for the event which featured a color card game that had members getting to know each other on a personal level as well as a business level

Economic Development Director Monte Walker introduced the 'thought to be' youngest chamber president in Texas, Robert Cannaday to the crowd. Cannaday, then gave a warming introduction about the new chamber and the future of the organization.

Several dignitaries were in attendance, such as Grayson County District Attorney Joe Brown,

Grayson County Justice of the Peace, Rita Noel, Grayson County Constable, Bob Douglas, Howe Mayor Jeff Stanley, Howe City Administrator Joe Shephard, Howe City Councilman Bill French and others

Even candidates for the Sheriff's race, Tom Watt and David Russell were seen posing together for a photo during the historic Howe event

The chamber will host a breakfast on June 12 at Independent Bank in Howe. The mixers are a monthly event on the fourth Thursday of each month. The next mixer is scheduled for June 25.

Abby's Restaurant provided steak fingers and gravy, while Sonic supplied the iced tea.
